Getting here
2152 Olympic Way, Daly City
Ocean View Stables, 2152 Olympic Way, Daly City, CA 94015. Fifteen minutes from downtown San Francisco; traffic can stretch that. Minutes from the San Francisco Zoo. Parking is on site.
When you arrive
What happens at the barn
Arrival
Arrive 20 minutes before your start time and check in at the barn office. Everything here is by appointment, with no walk-ins.
What to wear
Long pants, closed-toe shoes or boots with a slight heel, and layers. Bring water and sunscreen; fog is not shade.
Helmets and the waiver
ASTM-certified helmets are provided, and riders under 18 must wear one. Everyone signs the OVS Participant Agreement before any hands-on time with a horse; a parent or guardian signs for a minor.
Phones on the ride
Bring your phone in a zipped pocket. Take pictures when the guide says it is a good moment, or hand it over and the guide will take them. Nobody rides with a phone in their hand while the horses are moving.
Weather, surf, tide and the welfare of a horse are our call, and we make it for safety. Read Section 8 of our Terms
Who can ride
Beach and trail rides from age 8; a child under 8 cannot ride double with a parent. Lessons and arena pony rides from age 3. Riders under 250 lbs, able to mount and dismount with minimal assistance.
