Thursday:
The excitement builds with advanced riding techniques, a serene trail ride, and an insightful session on horse emotions and body language, enriching your child's understanding and empathy towards these magnificent creatures.
THURSDAY:
- 9:00am: Arrive, Review horse Anatomy. 
- 9:30am: Demonstrate your understanding of horse anatomy and your ability to identify the different parts of a horse. 
- 10:00am: Catch your horse. Groom and saddle your horse. 
- 10:30am: Snack time! 
- 11:00am: Split into two groups: - Group one: Lesson! 
- Mount your horse. 
- Warm up and practice different exercises at the walk. 
- Practice trotting and controlling the parts of your horse. 
- Practice transitions from walk, trot, to stop. 
- Learn different exercises to control the parts of your horse. 
- Practice the barrel racing pattern. 
- Dismount and tie horses up 
 
- Group two: Trail Ride! - Mount your horse. 
- Head out on a trail ride! 
- Practice moving your horse around natural obstacles such as trees and downed logs. 
- Play "pass the stick" team building exercise. 
- Take turns leading the string of horses. 
- Arrive at the stables and tie horses up. 
 
- 12:15pm: Lunch 
- 1:00pm: Switch groups and repeat 
- 2:15pm: Learn about horse emotions and how to read a horse’s body language. 
- 2:45pm: Enjoy a snack while you wait or volunteer to help with the horses until your parents arrive.
